RESULTS & UP COMING SPORTS INFORMATION


We have all had a very busy start to the school year, finding our feet and getting organised for many sporting events and activities.

There will be a lot of information and details being communicated in our College Daily notices and the College facebook page so I encourage students to form good habits in looking at the notices everyday and if you have any questions regarding Roncalli Sport or would like to share some results and photos please do not hesitate to see me in the Sports Office or email j.zandbergen@roncalli.school.nz


Roncalli Athletics Sports 1/2 and Full Day

Athletics 1/2 Day - Friday 22 February starting at 1.00 pm. We will be running the Championship Hurdles, Javelin and 3000 m on this afternoon. Further information to follow.

College Athletics Day - Monday 25 February: Parents and caregivers who are interested in assisting with the Roncalli Athletics Sports Day (time keeping, measuring, recording, place getting) on Monday 25 February (postponement date Thursday 28 February) please Jose at the Sports Office on 688 6003 extension 808 or email j.zandbergen@roncalli.school.nz  New parent to the College are welcome.


Lawn Bowls

The Aoraki Secondary Schools Bowls will be held on Friday 1 March. Any student wishing to enter must have a basic knowledge of the game, attended have a go or coaching so they are aware of how to play the game. To help with this David Kensell will be running have a go/coaching sessions as follows:

Basketball Registrations

Basketball Registrations will take place on Monday 4 February - All students interested in playing Basketball please meet promptly in the Gymnasium at interval. If you have any further questions, please see Miss Zandbergen.


Rowing

The Roncalli Rowing team had a rowing camp in the school holidays from 7 - 13 January.

Canterbury Champs were held on the 19 - 20 of January with some good results in heats but unfortunately no finals due to the wind.

Coming up with weekend 2 - 3 February is the South Island Rowing Champs. Good luck to all our rowers and we look forward to hearing your results.
