Lunchtime Concert Series at St Mary's Church
Roncalli Students performed a variety of pieces to a lunchtime crowd as St Mary's Church last Friday
The Lunchtime Concert Series is an annual event where local primary and secondary school students put together items for the local community.
Roncalli students performed their 45 minute programme to a delighted crowd and the students were very grateful for the support of those who were able to attend and the lovely comments and encouragement they received at the conclusion of the concert.
Roncalli String Ensemble performed a minuet and march with their Instrumental Tutor, Tim McLeod. Hazelle Tate, Doyoon Kim, Florain Susilo on violin.
Grace Steele performed a folk set with 'Kathy's Song' and 'There is a Fountain'. She was then joined by Tim Kirke for a duet rendition of 'Life Goes On'.
Miss Hall performed 'Andante for Flute' by Mozart and was accompanied by Catherine Anderson on piano.
Tim Bower who tutors woodwind and Miss Hall then accompanied George Gilkerson and Raia Tshibeya who performed 'Scotland the Brave' on alto saxophone and flute respectively.
Jack Steele performed a Chopin etude on piano and Tim Kirke closed out the concert performing 'Broken Lilies' which is his own composition.
Tim Kirke will be performing his own piano recital as a solo artist on Friday 24 October at St Mary's Church in Timaru 12:15-1pm. Entry by Koha/Donation
