Female health and wellbeing

Ellen Walsh —

We were fortunate enough to have Kate Meads (http://www.katemeads.co.nz/) visit Roncalli College to speak with our female students about sustainable period products.

Kate is visiting 30 secondary schools across the Canterbury region delivering a  light hearted, fun chat about periods and options available.

The reason for this program is to highlight period poverty and show modern reusable options and discuss the financial and environmental benefits of these choices.

Each female student has been sent an email with options to purchase sustainable products and 60 girls have registered their interest to receive a free or discounted menstrual cup.
