“Whoever has a heart full of love always has something to give.” St John XXIII - Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli
As we continue to move through the year we are blessed to celebrate our faith, our service to the community and our sporting talents.
The Feast of the Assumption
Roncalli gathered as a community to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption last week. It was a wonderful celebration of our tradition of coming together as a school and parish community. We also welcomed a number of students into our Catholic community. Congratulations in particular to Lilliana Davis and Imogen Young who received the Sacrament of Baptism.
Holy Mary, mother fair,
Filled with love for God,
Pray for us in all our needs.
Pray for us today.
Tournament Week Liturgy
This week students and staff who are participating in and representing Roncalli in Winter Tournament Week gathered in the Chapel for a liturgy. Our liturgy focused on the message of Pope Francis who said “Those who take part in the world of sports exemplify virtues such as generosity, humility, sacrifice, constancy and cheerfulness”. Safe travels and best of luck to all representing Roncalli next week.
Roncalli Feast Day and Special Character Week
Week 1 of Term 4 will be Special Character Week. Look out for more details in the coming weeks about the activities, celebrations and competitions held across the week, which includes our Feast Day on October 11th.
