School Sport Suspended

Following the government, ministry of health and national sporting body announcements, what does this mean for us?

Due to the current covid situation all sports have been suspended until further notice. Pre season programmes, tournaments, workshops, community competitions, social leagues, trialling, naming teams and commencement of training. I have attached the direct links for specific sports codes with further details and dates.

We appreciate that this will be disappointing for a number of students, teachers, coaches and community volunteers. The health, safety and wellbeing of our entire community is our priority.

We will continue to plan for the winter competition as normal, for the teams that have trialled and been named we will proceed with EOTC, parent/caregiver consent so we are organised for the club registrations and winter competition.

I would like to encourage students to take this opportunity and self responsibility to be active and do their own individual fitness and training so when competition resumes they are ready to go.

We will advise of any reviews and changes that effect our respective sports code when they become available.

We thank everyone for their cooperation and support with this situation and we look forward to getting our students back to playing and enjoying sport.
