With our recent increase in allocated Gateway places we are looking forward to a busy year ahead.

Gateway is a popular subject with restricted numbers.  The programme is funded by the Tertiary Education Commission and every year we are allocated placement numbers. Our Gateway Programme is very successful, we have good support from local employers and Te Pukenga Training Advisors.  It is exciting to be able to grow the programme.

Students who have indicated Gateway as a subject choice for next year will have an interview later in Term 4 along with a parent/guardian to look at possible interest areas and Individual Learning Plan options.  The interview provides a good opportunity to confirm if Gateway is a good option and to gauge if students are workplace ready.

Applications need to be in before the Term 3 holidays please.  Thank you to students who have already dropped in their application forms.  Anyone who still wants to apply or to arrange a chat, can collect an application form from the College office or the Gateway office and return it before the holidays.

Employers are welcome to contact Mrs Mehrtens, Gateway Manager to indicate their interest in assisting with the programme in 2024.
