This group of Roncalli young leaders spent the day in Christchurch with students from other schools in our Diocese to learn about the work Caritas is doing in Timor-Leste

I was lucky enough to be one of the students who was chosen to attend the Caritas young leaders day. We were also joined by St Bedes, St Thomas' and John Paul II. I enjoyed getting to talk with other schools from a different area and becoming more aware of what's going on in other countries near us. 

The day has inspired me to get more involved in volunteer work to help out other smaller countries who are in need of help and to do as much I can. It has also inspired me to go for a leadership role next year so that I can make more of a difference and hopefully get the school more involved with volunteer work and help our neighbours. 

The Caritas leaders day helped me get out of my comfort zone and talk to new people.
