Congratulations to our Roncalli Swimmers on their results competing at the NZ Div II Champs and the recent Aoraki Champs.

New Zealand Division 2 Swimming Championships

Anabel Scott, Chloe Venmore and Toby Taylor competed in the New Zealand Division 2 Swimming Championships in Dunedin from Saturday 8 to Friday 14 May.

Anabel and Chloe represented Swim Timaru and Toby represented Geraldine Swimming Clubs. Anabel swam 9 events and represented Swim Timaru in 3 relays. Her best events were 50 and 100 meter backstroke where she got 6th and 10th in the 13-year-old age group. Toby swam in the 16 & over age group, swimming 9 individual events and Chloe swam in the 15 years age group swimming the 400m Individual Medley.

Aoraki Secondary Schools Championships  

On the 20 May Toby Taylor, Chloe Venmore and Anabel Scott represent Roncalli College at the Aoraki Swimming Champs held in Timaru at CBay.

Each swimmer competed in 4 individual events.

Toby Taylor ~ Boys 15 & Over

• 2nd place ~ 100m Breaststroke: 1:18.50
• 2nd place ~ 50m Butterfly: 30.66 
• 3rd place ~ 50m Breaststroke: 35.30 
• 3rd place ~ 100m Individual Medley: 1:12.88 

Chloe Venmore ~ Girls 15 & Over

• 4th place ~ 200m Freestyle: 2:41.50 
• 6th place ~ 100m Butterfly: 1:30.46
• 7th place ~ 100m Breaststroke: 1:37.20
• 8th place ~ 100m Individual Medley: 1:24.38

Anabel Scott ~ Girls 14 & Under

• 1st place ~ 50m Backstroke: 34.36
• 1st place ~ 100m Backstroke: 1:16.22
• 1st place ~ 100m Freestyle: 1:07.79
• 3rd place ~ 200m Individual Medley: 2:53.32

Congratulations to Anabel who was place 2nd overall in the Girls 14 & under age group.
