Division II Competition and Aoraki Secondary School Championships

Division II Swimming Competition

On Sunday 8 May – Thursday 12 May, Anabel Scott attended the 2022 Apollo Projects Division II Swimming Competition. The event saw swimmers, ages 13-18 years from around the country, converge on Dunedin for a fun racing opportunity at the end of the summer season.

Congratulations to Anabel Scott who had a successful competition.

  • 100IM – 1st (NZ Short Course Qualifying Time achieved)
  • 200IM – 1st
  • 100 Fly – 2nd
  • 50 Free – 6th
  • 100 Free – 1st

Anabel also competed at the NZ Long Course Age Group Championships in Wellington during the month of April 2022.

  • 50m Back – Result 6th
  • 100 Back – Result 5th
  • 200 Back – 11th

Focus now will be on South Island Secondary School champs in June, NZ Secondary School Champs in July and then NZ Short Course Champs in August.


Aoraki Secondary School Championships

On Friday 27 May, Anabel Scott, Finn Scott, Tom Coupland and Gus Collins represented Roncalli College at the Aoraki Swimming Championships held in Ashburton at EA Networks Centre.

Anabel Scott ~ Girls 14 & Under

  • 1st place ~ 100m Individual Medley: 1:11.64
  • 1st place ~ 100m Backstroke: 1:08.55
  • 1st place ~ 100m Freestyle: 1:03.91
  • 1st place ~ 100m Butterfly: 1:13.18

Finn Scott ~ Boys 14 & Under

  • 6th place ~ 100m Individual Medley: 1:23.85
  • 2nd place ~ 50m Freestyle: 31.74
  • 3rd place ~ 100m Backstroke: 1:27.24
  • 3rd place ~ 100m Freestyle: 1:11.54

Tom Coupland ~ Boys 14 & Under

  • 4th place ~ 100m Individual Medley: 1:18.99
  • 3rd place ~ 200m Individual Medley: 2:54.59
  • 3rd place ~ 100m Breaststroke: 1:27.34
  • 2nd place ~ 50m Butterfly: 35.17
