Tennis stars in the making...

Roncalli College entered four teams in this years Aoraki Tennis Teams Championships held on 17 February. The teams played in both the Cup and Festival grades with all players having a great day. The weather made the day just perfect for playing. 

Our teams ranged from novice to experienced, with our cup team, Jess Aldridge and Maia Liu who won their competition. Well done to them as they move forward to the South Island Tennis Teams Championship on 27-28 February. 

I would like to thank Tyler Buckingham for filling in for an injured player. 

Results:

Jess and Maia: Won all doubles matches and all singles matches.

John and Tyler: Won all doubles matches, John won all singles and Tyler won two, lost one of his singles. 

Tallulah and Mya: Won two, lost one in doubles.

Ruby and Roshean: Lost two, won one in doubles.
