Congratulations to year 12 student Jaxson Whyte on his outstanding success at the YUNCA Junior Tour of Southland and the South Island Schools Championships.

YUNCA JUNIOR TOUR OF SOUTHLAND (2 - 4 October 2020)

• Stage 1 Road Race 53kms – 7th
• Stage 2 Road Race 40kms – 8th
• Stage 3 Kermese Points Race 20kms – 2nd
• Stage 4 1.8kms up Bluff Hill – 1st
• Stage 5 Criterium Street Race 10kms – 1st
• Stage 6 Road Race 76kms – 11th

Time bonuses are awarded for each Stage, this gave Jaxson first place overall for the tour.

Jaxson is the first rider to win back to back in an age group in the tours 36 year history.

Two days after the Tour of Southland Jaxson competed in the South Island Schools Track Championships from 6 - 11 October. Jaxson placed 2nd overall in this event over 3 races.
