Changes to NZQA assessments in 2021
As part of the NCEA review, two significant changes have been announced to take effect immediately.
Students may be given the opportunity to resubmit work only if they gained a Not Achieved grade. Only one resubmission may be offered and a student cannot gain higher than Achieved for a resubmission. Resubmission is only available at a teacher's discretion when the teacher is sure that students can discover and correct minor error(s) by themselves.
Students may gain an Achieved, Merit or Excellence endorsement once they have gained at least 14 credits in a course.
