Throughout this experience I also learned about different parts of leadership and also about my own personal leadership style

At the end of April I was lucky enough to receive a scholarship through the Mayoral Fund for a 21 day programme for Young Leaders at Outward Bound. 

Along with 12 other leaders from around New Zealand we spent the three weeks taking part in sailing, kayaking, solo, high ropes course, team building exercises, a half marathon and a couple of tramps. 

Throughout this experience I also learned about different parts of leadership and also about my own personal leadership style. 

From this experience I have not only created some amazing new friends but also learned a lot about myself and the world around me. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to any other student and I would like to thank the Mayoral Fund for providing this fantastic opportunity for me.
