The Rotary Foundation Committee are planning a promotional “Road Trip” to parts of the District, to inform and promote the work of the Foundation to clubs.

As the number of volunteer organisations rises and competition for volunteer resources increases steadily, organisations which rely on volunteers are turning their attention to the matter of engagement, asking themselves the question ‘how do we keep our current and future volunteers active, involved and satisfied?

NADC have made available grants of up to $20,000 for non-profit community groups to hold COVID-safe community events celebrating the Story of Australia on 26 January 2021. For Rotary Australia this is a fantastic opportunity to promote the work of our organisation in its centenary year in this country.

Rotary members fight and prevent disease as one of our main causes, and since the COVID-19 pandemic began we have been helping authorities communicate lifesaving information, donating protective gear and more.

I would encourage all Clubs to add this to their New Members Information Kits

Well, there are not many months now until D9570 and D9550 merge into the new and exciting mega – District of 9560. Our incoming District Training Team have been working towards building opportunities that are streamlined to cater for the joining of the two districts.

The Mackay Rotaract Region Inc has been working hard behind the scenes with Jeff.

Many thousands were evacuated before the storm hit but the process was complicated by the coronavirus. Families now face the double threat of having nowhere to live other than over-crowded evacuation centres, whilst also trying to protect themselves from the deadly virus.
