Every three years, representatives from all Rotary districts around the world meet in Chicago, Illinois, USA, to consider changes to the constitutional documents that govern Rotary International. This year’s Council considered more than 100 proposals. The resulting Club Constitution is available for adoption by clubs.

RYLA is an intensive peer-on-peer leadership development program targeted at emerging leaders. Youth aged 18-28 are selected for their leadership potential they attend a 7-day program held at the Capricorn Caves 1 – 7 February 2020. Participants are selected from around the District and are supported by local Rotary Clubs and businesses.

So far, 19 passport clubs have been officially chartered by Rotary International: 11 in North America, six in Canada, one in Croatia and one in Australia. Two more Australian clubs are currently in the process of chartering.

3 of our Passorters (Daniel, Lyn & Graeme) from Emerald, Qld were fortunate to catch up with the Vocational training team (VTT) during their recent visit to Emerald, Qld. The 5 x VTT team members are educators from the United Kingdom who are travelling throughout Rotary District 9570 during their four week VTT experience. Their experience will include visits to schools, engaging in community and Rotary fellowship and presentation activities and sampling a range of tourist destinations during their stay. Vocational training teams (VTT) are groups of professionals who travel abroad either to teach local professionals about a particular field or to learn more about their own field. We wish the VTT team all the best in their travels and enjoy the rest of your journey in Queensland, Australia!

Mackay MECC will be the location for the first combined Rotary District 9550 and 9570, 2020 Conference. It will be held from Friday 1st May to Sunday 3rd May. It will attract visitors from North Eastern Australia & Timor Leste. It will inspire Rotarians, friends , family and guests to Do Good in the World!
