Rotary Forest of Peace, Remembrance and Community

Liz Courtney, District 9970 Community Liaison —

Rotarians in Christchurch can be very proud to see our Rotary logo and name “up in lights”.

Working with Conservation Volunteers NZ and the Christchurch City Council we have begun working in partnership to create an environmental project that will have a great impact in our city.

Together we are planting 42,000 trees. This area was affected by the Christchurch earthquakes and will become a space to walk, run and bike. A green space for families to enjoy and be relaxed.

Rotary celebrates 100 years of serving the community in New Zealand. This project will change the way we live in our city.
