From muck there's brass

Phillip Harrall, Lincoln Rotary —

In the 9 weeks that Lincoln Rotary have been selling their mushroom compost, and other fertilizers, the Club has raised just over $14,000 that will help fund local community and some overseas projects.

The Club sold 800 bags and 105 scoops of mushroom compost, 93 bags of lawn fertilizer and 67 bags of garden fertilizer. The Club’s Autumn campaign starts in mid-April 2021.

Noel Dunlop the organizer said that “We must thank the very generous people from all around our district who have supported the Clubs sales of compost for the last 3 years, and hopefully they will continue to support us when our new campaign starts next year.”

Gary Kennett, Lincoln Rotary President, said "The support from John Smith and his family has been outstanding, and a big thank you to Noel Dunlop for organizing the event and our members for volunteering so much of their time to bag and sell the compost - all of the money raised will be put to good use helping us support local communities."
