Brian Prince awards honour emergency service staff and volunteers in Bundaberg
Read here how a memorial awards program in honour of a local Rotarian celebrates excellence in emergency services and volunteering.
Bundaberg Central Rotary Club has hosted the Brian Prince Awards since its inception nine years ago and are the legacy of Brian Prince, a dedicated paramedic and Rotarian in the Bundaberg region.
Friday 25 November 2022 saw a gathering of about 80 emergency services staff, volunteers and their families along with Rotarians meeting together at Bundaberg RSL.
This awards night was to honour and celebrate the outstanding work that many of our Emergency Service personnel and volunteers provide across the region.
While the awards night highlights individuals (or in one case, a team) the ongoing theme was that of camaraderie.
They all highlighted how important the support and care from their work families was, and they each applauded the sacrifices and encouragement from their personal families.
Receiving recognition by their peers through a Brian
Prince Award highlights their dedication to their work and their teams.
