ShelterBox Giving Day - Thursday 10th December
Alexandra Heron and Dieter Torheiden - November 29, 2020
Shelter Boxes are sent to communities that experience a disaster that results in their home being destroyed (e.g cyclone, earthquake, war). The Shelter Box provides a tent, blankets, cooking equipment, solar batteries, water containers, water filters, school supplies and tools to help them rebuild.
Gladstone West RotaKids have been saving their containers for change money to purchase a Shelter Box.
Classes from the whole school at Gladstone West State School recently got an opportunity to visit and have a tour of a ShelterBox which had been set up for the day. The RotaKids were the tour guides.
