Welcome to a New Year!!

We are rather excited.  It is not always easy to manage a Project in another Country, as many of you would have experienced.  Since 2010, we have been working in this particular Compound, just 21 kilometers from the centre of the Capital of Zambia, Lusaka.  The Primary School was established in May, 2012.

One of our Grade Seven Students from 2021, achieved very high marks for the end of his Primary School year and has been chosen for a Scholarship to attend a prestigious Boarding School in Lusaka.  We have had another student attend this particular School for five years after achieving a Scholarship with the Kucetekela Foundation.  Blessings has completed Year Twelve and is awaiting results.  He is taking a Gap Year with the Foundation, then he will attend University.  He was also the recipient of a Yale Young African Scholarship in 2020, but that is on hold because of Covid-19.

Another of our school leavers of 2016, Henry, has been attending another Boarding School in Lusaka, Chalo Trust School.  His Cambridge Exam results are just out and he received 6 High Distinctions, 1 Disticinction and 1 Credit.  These two “boys” were Head Boys for their respective School and Henry was also Head Boarder.

The Terry Ray Scholarsip, which is being awarded to this Grade Eight student, covers both Boarding and Tuition.  This Scholarship was named after a sponsor of our Charity and a ROTARIAN of the Emerald Rotary Club for 42 years.  The cost annually is $4,540 and we are seeking a further three sponsors @ $900 to cover this cost.  We currently have three sponsors; the one who has covered him throughout Primary School, the daughter of our RAWCS Project Manager and another who is also sponsoring another student at Our Rainbow House.

It would be wonderful if your Club would consider co-sponsoring this deserving student to Pestalozzi Education Centre through the Terry Ray Scholarship.  Please see our Facebook Page and Website for further details of the Charity.
