Heading to Longreach for Conference '23, 28 - 30 April? Here is an overview of what to expect.
Friday evening (6.00 pm – 8.30 pm) - Longreach Civic Centre:
Meet and Greet - meet your fellow Rotarians before the official activities begin (Finger food provided, cash bar)
Saturday from 8.30 am – Longreach Civic Centre
Conference Begins - with welcome to country, official welcomes and flag ceremony, followed by invited speakers: Professor Ajay Rane OAM, Leanne Kohler, David Elliott, Joanne Keune, Adam Calderon & Nick Butler (Rotaract), PDG Peter Kaye, PDG Michael Buckeridge, Ingrid Miller, David Phelps, David Rimmer and more!
Saturday evening – Longreach Racecourse
District Governor’s Dinner - Dress for a night at the races! Join the fun of the Calcutta and a special Charity Auction. Prizes for "best-dressed" female, male, couple.
Sunday 7.00 am – Edkins Memorial Park
Community breakfast - Meet with Longreach locals to share stories of what Rotary can do to support the Longreach community.
Sunday morning from 8.30 am – Longreach Civic Centre: Conference Sessions and lunch. Speakers including: Sandra Moore, Jenni Briese (ARH), Tim Driscoll, Rotary Youth Exchange Students, Anthony Toholke. Also Regionalisation update and District Resolutions.
Throughout Conference: House of Friendship - Club and District displays in the main hall.
Sunday Afternoon:
Activities and projects with Longreach Rotarians
Sunday 5.00 pm:
Smithy’s Outback Show and Dinner (optional)
Monday (Optional)
All day tourism experience in Longreach and surrounding district.
