The Rotary Foundation Update
February 2022
Thank you to the clubs and members for your support. Every little bit helps our charity to Do Good in the World. Because of you, the world is a better place.
Grant Seminar – If your club plans to apply for a district grant in 2022, at least one member of your club must attend the on-line training at My Rotary. There are ten sessions that can be attended periodically. The total time required is about 3.5 to 4 hours.
Please go to Grant Management Seminar at My Rotary. Once you complete the course, send your certificate to Robyn Dowling at district.grants@rotary9560.org
District Grant Reports 2021-22 The final report with documentation should be submitted by 31 May 2022 to district.grants@rotary9560.org If your club may have problems completing the project prior to May 2022, please contact Robyn Dowling at district.grants@rotary9560.org
District Grant Application 2022-23 form will beemailed to all clubs in February.
Reminder: Polio Movie Event
With so many lockdowns around Australia and New Zealand, the Polio Movie Event scheduled for December was postponed. The movie, THE DUKE, will now launch to the public on 31 March but is available as a pre-release for Rotary clubs from Rotary’s birthday, 23rd February.
The film distributor has just contacted cinemas advising they should expect to hear from their local Rotary club. Please encourage clubs to make a booking and arrange an event.
Clubs can download the trailer and marketing materials; and there’s also a Rotary video that cinemas can download to show prior to the event (1.2GB).
Attached is a wonderful letter from RI President Shekar Mehta and Trustee Chair John Germ to Rotarians in Pakistan about the progress on ending Polio.
