District's first E-Club led from Africa

Read here about how the E-Club of Outback Australia has a cross-continental link to its president and local and international causes.

Possibly one of the most unique clubs in the district, the E-Club of Outback Australia is anchored in Tennant Creek with its president Victoria Porter based in Kenya.

The club of enthusiastic and civic-minded members is a huge support for Victoria's charity, Jifunze International.

The club also recently erected Peace Poles in the Tennant Creek Peace Garden in seven languages and continues to actively support local and global causes.

DG John Hall recently visited the club on his trip to the Top End and Timor-Leste.

"Tennant Creek was a great time and it was wonderful to talk to President Victoria on a link to Africa with the E-Club members and to share in the great work they're doing," he said.

"The club truly embodies the international spirit of our organisation," he said.
