Invest in Peace — Become a Global Peacebuilder District!

Rotary Global Peacebuilder District Team —

Support Rotary’s main peacebuilding activities by donating your District Designated Funds to the new Global Peacebuilder District program. This program offers your district more flexibility in how you can engage in Rotary’s peacebuilding programs and champion your goals of creating positive change.

The Global Peacebuilder District program now recognizes all district contributions to Rotary’s work in peace, whether they’re directed to the Rotary Peace Centers or to the peacebuilding and conflict prevention area of focus. These contributions can go to either the Endowment or be available for immediate use.

More than a dozen Rotary Peace Fellows have just begun a yearlong certificate program at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, the site of our newest peace center — and your district can be involved at this exciting time.

Through your contributions, your district will:

· Help train up to 130 Rotary Peace Fellows each year to become catalysts for peace around the world

· Support the vital work in peacebuilding and conflict prevention that clubs and districts carry out through projects supported by The Rotary Foundation

Districts that contribute $25,000 a year (in DDF or district cash) to the Rotary Peace Centers or the peacebuilding and conflict prevention area of focus are recognized as Global Peacebuilder Districts.

If you have questions about the program, write to: peacebuilderdistrict@rotary.org

We appreciate your generous support of Rotary’s peacebuilding programs!

Sincerely,
Rotary Global Peacebuilder District Team
