Updates on Rotary Insurance - what is covered?

Cindy Hart - District Insurance Officer —

Some points of interest about Rotary Insurance coverage

1. The Liability, Travel & Personal Accident, Association Liability policies have been calculated at a 'per member' rate. The AON fee has also been calculated this way. The ISR (Property Insurance) and Motor Vehicle Fleet have 2 rating factors:

· Flat rate per club for Motor Blanket cover (under $10,000) & Property Value under $500,000

· All other parts are calculated at a 'rate' per dollar value declared

· For those clubs that have motor vehicles/assets over $10,000 I can provide information on costs.

2. Payment terms are 14 days from the date of their email which was 21/08/2020

3. Payment options are detailed on the front of the invoice. Monthly payments are available but will incur additional fees, let me know if you want to go that way

4. Group Personal Accident & Travel - Personal Travel now limited to 21 days. And I have to maintain a register of travel authorisations and declare them at the 2021/22 renewal.

5. Public & Products Liability - There is a COVID-19 exclusion being applied which is:

The Insurer will not cover personal injury as a result of your reckless disregard of any guidelines, principles or instruction issued by the Australian Government, relevant State or Territory Government, the New Zealand Government or any other relevant Government jurisdiction you operate in, regarding any infectious or communicable disease, bacteria or virus.”

6. There are more details on the Exclusions relating to COVID-19 for the ISR, Liability & Travel and Personal Accident policies, along with Guidelines.
