Bird calendar feathers nest of cancer research funds ROCKHAMPTON North Rotary Club culminated another year of fundraising for cancer research recently.

Dr Mike Fay from GenesisCare has sent an email below and paper in attachments, thanking the Rotary Club of Rockhampton North for their financial support for their cancer research by selling our award-winning Birds of Australia calendar.
The result is the study at GenesisCare, which has developed a new way to analyse PET scans for brain cancer. You will see that our club is acknowledged in the credits on the last page.

The club and in particular, members Keith Ireland & Eric Anderson, can be very proud to achieve this for future generations suffering from cancer. It was all because of members personal efforts and the local businesses like Frenchville Sports Club who paid for ads to cover the cost of printing that allowed every cent raised to be donated to this cause.
Oir annual Bird Calendar Project sells like hotcakes and has raised over $12,000 in the last three years for Cancer Research. They sell 1600 copies annually. It features the beautiful photography of member, Keith Island, and is printed by member Eric Anderson.
