Literacy Learning Support Kits for Timor-Leste Project
During the District Conference held on the May long weekend in Gladstone, more than 150 Literacy Learning Support Kits were collected for distribution to needy children in orphanages and schools in Timor-Leste. Many thanks to the conference participants who put their kits together and delivered them to the conference!
We invite you to participate the Literacy Project to support children’s literacy learning in Timor-Leste.
We will gladly accept a donation of $20 that will enable local Interact Clubs and RotaKids Clubs to put a kit together on your behalf. To donate, make an EFT to:

As you are aware, Timor-Leste has recently been affected by a cyclone that is putting greater pressure on provision of literacy learning support materials for many children.
We are aware that it will be some time (due to COVID restrictions) before the kits will reach the country, however we believe that these will be greatly appreciated by needy children in schools and orphanages who receive the distributed kits through the local Rotary Clubs. The clubs will be members of our new District in July this year.

2 x A4 Writing pads approx 100 page each
1 x Scrap Book approx 90 page
Pack of 3 HB writing pencils
Pack of 12 Colour pencils
Eraser
Metal pencil Sharpener
30cm Ruler
A4 size expanding Document Wallet to include all the items.
A small sticker acknowledging Rotary District 9570 will be affixed to the document wallet.
