Rotary District Foundation Chair update

Larry Slattery - February 28, 2022

Has your club given your annual donation to OUR Charity, the Rotary Foundation, yet? Now's the time!

Grant Seminar – If your club plans to apply for a district grant in 2022, at least one member of your club must attend the on-line training at My Rotary. There are ten sessions that can be attended periodically. The total time required is about 3.5 to 4 hours.

Please go to Grant Management Seminar at My Rotary. Once you complete the course, send your certificate to Robyn Dowling at district.grants@rotary9560.org The maximum grant amount in 2022-23 is $2,000, and the club must contribute at least 20% of the grant amount. More info will be sent to clubs in the near future.

How are we doing as a district? The attached slides show our progress year to date (YTD) with comparisons with the Philippines, Australian districts and New Zealand/Pacific which are in Rotary’s Zone 8. We are a bit behind the pace compared to last year. Hopefully the relaxation of restrictions will allow things to return something resembling normal! While the final figures are always important, one our goals this year is to have 100% of the club contribute something to the Foundation (our charity). Currently 53.6% of the clubs have made a contribution this year. Presidents, as your year winds down, please review your plans for a Foundation contribution.

BECOME A CENTURION: EVERY MEMBER, EVERY YEAR

Please urge your members to become a Centurion by personally donating $100 to the Foundation (our charity). Centurions will be presented with a Centurion certificate in July. Please see the attached brochure on this!
