Biloela Rotary honours local employees with Pride of Workmanship Awards
Read about the success of the 2023 Rotary Club of Biloela Pride of Workmanship Awards.
The 2023 Pride of Workmanship Awards Night was a wonderful success for the Rotary Club of Biloela. With an increased presence on social media this year promoting the awards, the club received many requests for nomination packages in addition to the 208 nomination packages sent out to local businesses. From this, 23 nominations were received from businesses wishing to acknowledge employees (including volunteers) who demonstrate the Pride of Workmanship mantra of ‘Do it once – Do it well: Build a better Australia”. The calibre of nominees continues to be of a high standard.
Geoff Arnold from Moore Australia delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the employers and Lachlan Brosnan from CrossFit Grunt delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the employees to the 138 attendees of the awards dinner which was held at the Biloela ANZAC Memorial Club.
In true community spirit, local sponsors - Moore Australia, Biloela Post Office & Tech Support and Biloela Laser Engraving - made financial and / or "in kind" contributions to the event, for which the club was extremely grateful.
The nominee citations were read out by club members Gail Rodda and Helen Fitzgerald, and the nominees presented with their plaque and certificate by Geoff Arnold and Michaela Lawson.
The Club congratulates all 2023 Pride of Workmanship award recipients, and thanks the employers for taking the time to acknowledge them.
Pride of Workmanship Awards Program was commenced in 1976 by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills (Australia, District 9685) to encourage pride of workmanship by providing employers, through Rotary, to recognise and acknowledge the efforts and contributions of an employee who consistently achieves an overall high personal standard and work performance.
Well done Rotary Biloela for honouring one of Rotary's avenues of service, Vocational Service, through the Pride of Workmanship Awards.
