Shelterbox Australia update

Mike Greenslade —

Whilst the El Nina weather pattern has brought welcome rains to much of Australia, elsewhere the weather has been more extreme.

Cyclone Amphan in India and unseasonal flooding in Tanzania have been keeping us busy. Right now, Typhoon Molave is pummelling an already flood-stricken Vietnam, whilst we continue to monitor floods in India, Sudan and Cambodia.

It's clear, our work has never been more important. Our latest adventure as part of the #Trek4Shelter, The Larapinta Trek 2021 officially launches next week, but you can reserve your spot today! There's also places left on the Tassie and Kokoda Treks, plus some coveted spots on the Outback Marathon. Trekking is not everyone's cup of tea, so why not join our book club or share our content on social media?

We also have exciting plans to celebrate World Human Rights Day on 10th December. If you believe that shelter is a basic human right and would like to be involved, please get in touch.

This month's quote comes from Antonio Guterres, "When we achieve human rights and human dignity for all people - they will build a peaceful, sustainable, and just world."
