Emerald President, Mike McCosker, gave a warm welcome to the Clermont Rotary Club and talked about his time living in Clermont as a child. He also spoke about how the Clermont Club originally Chartered the Emerald Club many years ago and how they could now return the favour.

This was then followed up by an auction of a PK Polio Koala which was generously donated by Bill Peacock and Peter Sheehan of the Passport Club of D9560. All money raised from sales of PK go towards eradication Polio. PK was eventually sold after some fierce bidding for $250.
After these speeches and a deliciously warm meal provided by the Clermont QCWA ladies was enjoyed by all and sundry.
DG Martti Kankkunen was given the task of inducting the Executive Committee first before inducting the rest of the members.
President Courtney Murnane, Secretary Laura Crichton and Treasurer Sue Finger.
After induction and photos Courtney Murnane the Charter President gave her vision for the Clemont Club. After her speech Courtney joined by Mike McCosker (Emerald President) cut the Charter Cake which went down very well with some ice cream for dessert.
The evening meeting was ended by President Courtney thanking all for attending and travelling to help Clermont celebrate.
Raffles and number board were drawn and a night of fines and a few bottles of wine as prizes for a round of Heads and Tails helped to raise a few extra funds for the club.
This was all in the foreground of some pleasant music played by Freddie and the Chang Family from the Isaac Performing Arts.
