Project stories for new Rotary Foundation Australia website

Larry Slattery, D9560 Foundation Chair —

Rotary Foundation are seeking OUR stories to share.

Hello Club Presidents

Rotary Foundation Australia will be launching a new website soon and it’s looking great! A critical element of the site is stories about the difference that Australian Rotarians are making in the world through their amazing projects, whether local or international. The focus will be on grant-funded projects that deliver real impact.

Do you have some recent projects in your club that you would like to tell the world about? Each story in the site will:

  • be about 200–600 words,
  • clearly explain how the project changed the lives of people in need,
  • describe the difference made by having the financial backing of the Foundation,
  • include one or two great photos.

Also, inclusion of a short video (2–3 minutes max) would be extremely welcome*.

Don’t worry too much about whether the story is beautifully written, our copywriters will provide the polish. Stories will also feature in our Facebook page, newsletters and other communications.

This is a great opportunity to showcase your club’s successes. It’s also a great way of conveying to prospective members some of the ways in which they can make a difference in the world, by joining with the people of action in your club.

N.B. A release form will be required from people depicted in photos and videos, especially minors. See enclosed.

Please send any articles and the release to foundation@rotary9560.org

Yours in Rotary
