Dear DGE John,

Congratulations on your appointment as District Governor Elect for Rotary District 9560, a year when we are asked to “Serve to change lives”. As a Past District Governor, I am sure your time will be most fulfilling (and busy!).

As the Chair of Food Plant Solutions Rotary Action Group, I have had the privilege to speak to many clubs via Zoom, around the world. All of them are pleased to learn about Food Plant Solutions Rotary Action Group and how it can help their communities. It is because of this that I reach out to you, to seek your help in raising awareness about this Rotary Action Group, as your prepare for your year as DG.

Food Plant Solutions Rotary Action Group creates educational materials that:

• Identify highly nutritious local food plants
• Explains how to grow them in a sustainable, agro-ecological way
• Displays their nutritional values
• And, describes why human bodies require those nutrients.

The materials allows people to better understand the importance of their local food plants; specifically their nutritional content and how to grow and use them. By identifying a range of highly nutritious local food plants with differing seasonal requirements and maturities, it helps to ensure continuous, nutritious, sustainable food supply, which ensures food security and ends malnutrition.

Food Plant Solutions Rotary Action Group stands with you DGE John, to help ensure everyone within your communities in District 9560 has access to safe, nutritious food.
