10 districts in our Zone were showing positive growth at the end of May, though we have a net loss of 93 from 1 July 2022 (30 more from the end of last month).

This month we welcomed the Rotary Satellite Club of Ku-ring-gai Community Network in D9685, with 10 members, 8 of which were new to Rotary. The club has a flexible and friendly approach and is project focused.

We also welcomed the community based Rotaract Club of Paddington in D9620. The club says it ‘has a mission to nurture the personal development of each individual member of the club, and the general community’. The club already has 20 members.

We have chartered 7 Rotary clubs this year but have terminated 16. We anticipate more club losses before the end of the Rotary year.

With regards to Rotaract, we are +120 members since 1 July, with a net loss of 2 clubs.

Please note, that as per usual, there will be no 30 June figures. Rotary International only officially reports on 1 July numbers. All membership performance is tracked from 1 July to 1 July.

Official 1 July membership figures will not be ready until mid-August.

As a reminder:

  • Members added with an effective date on or before 30 June will count towards the 2022-23 Rotary year
  • Members added with an effective date on or after 1 July will count toward the 2023-24 Rotary year
  • Members terminated with an effective date on or before 1 July will count towards the 2022-23 Rotary year
