Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Clubs can make a difference for the environment by taking actions in their local communities and giving a good example in their own private lives: using less plastic, no single-use plastics, improving the waste management and cleaning our environment.
At the first meeting of the District 9830 Leadership Team for this Rotary year, it was decided to support a no single-use plastics policy and to prepare posters clubs could use to share the rationale at events.
Meg Krikstolaitis, a volunteer on the District 9830 Public Image team, has designed posters to highlight this policy which clubs can use.
The elements Meg has used are summarised in this infographic:
The elements Meg has used include: two photos found on the My Rotary Brand Center, wording suggested by discussion at the leadership meeting, approved Rotary fonts, approved Environment logo, the latest approved way of describing groups of clubs in a geographic area and a lockup with End Plastic Soup, a Rotary initiative.
End Plastic Soup is a Rotary project which originated in the Netherlands. The Rotary Club of Deloraine is the ambassador club for District 9830.
