1 July 2023 figures
Official 1 July 2023 figures were released recently. In summary:
Unfortunately, Rotary International saw a dip in worldwide membership with a net loss of over 12,000 members, equating to -1.1%.
Zone 8 lost 5% of its membership, with a net loss of over 1500 members. No districts saw a net increase.

New club development
In 2022-2023 Zone 8 chartered or officially recognised this number of clubs:
Since 1 July we have already welcomed two clubs:
- Rotary Club of Scenic Rim Sunrise, D9640
- Rotary Satellite Club of Sydney Cove Connectors, D9675
We also saw an online interest meeting being held for the (Provisional) Rotary Club of Global Music. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 23 August 2023 at 7:00pm (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane time). If you are interested, please email Lesley.shedden@rotary9780.org
Leader board highlights from 31 July 2023
D9999 leads the zone with +22 Rotarians since 1 July 2023. This is followed by D9675 with +17 and D9705 with + 16.
