As we emerge from the Covid pandemic, it is encouraging to see many of our clubs have commenced their fundraising activities once again.

A Snapshot of our Region’s Support so far this year, shows we had a very encouraging result for the first quarter, compared with the same time in 2021-22.

However, as you can see, our giving to both the Annual Fund and Polio has slowed in the first two months of this second quarter. The Polio result is particularly concerning given the polio recognition month of October is when many of our significant find raising activities for polio take place.

While this is in part due to the significant drop in the Australian and NZ exchange rate versus the US dollar and some major gifts given in November 2021, we need to continue focusing on maintaining our contributions to the Rotary Foundation.

If you have not already, please chose The Rotary Foundation as your personal Charity of choice, or at least rate it as one of the top 2-3 charities you support.

Please consider being a regular contributor to our charity by choosing to become a Centurion or to join the Paul Harris Society.  

If giving is currently not an option, then perhaps leaving a legacy is one. You could choose to become a Benefactor or join the Bequest Society. 

Talk to your club Foundation person or your District Rotary Foundation Chair if your need help to explore these options.

If you are struggling to find a suitable Christmas gift for your loved one(s), an option could be to give a gift to the Rotary Foundation in their name.
