Women's health is a critical topic that affects not only women but also their families and our communities. It is essential that we create a space for open and honest dialogue, where young people are informed and empowered to discuss and make decisions that affect their health and well-being.

“The Big Pink Youth Dialogue endeavours to do just that. With a two hour zoom event hosted by a youth team from the Gold Coast in Australia, we hope to create a space for conversation, education, and inspiration” says Co-Chair of the organising team Jacqueline Wark President Elect of Northern Gold Coast Rotaract. “Our Rotary Action Group is supporting this event with Internationally renowned keynote speakers to discuss topics relating to women’s health and a team of trained facilitators for breakout rooms to generate energetic conversations and inspiring ideas” says Washington DC based, PDG Dr John Townsend, Chair of RMCH, the oldest Rotary Action Group and winner of the US$2 Million Rotary Foundation 2022 Grant for Programs of Scale to support Safer Families in Nigeria.

This unique event is organized by the Rotaract Club of Northern Gold Coast in District 9640 Australia in association with the Rotary Action Group for Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health (RMCH), Partnership for Maternal & Child Health (PMNCH) a program of WHO and Apollo Shine Foundation India. "You are invited to the RMCH Booth No 453 at the Melbourne Rotary International Convention House of Friendship for more details and register free,” says PDG Andy Rajapakse from District 9640 in Australia, Board Director of RMCH and convenor of this 2023 Big Pink Youth Dialogue.

Many women around the world do not have access to basic healthcare services and reproductive healthcare. This lack of access can have devastating consequences for women's health and well-being. In addition to access to healthcare, other important issues related to women's health include menstrual health and hygiene, sexual and reproductive health, and gender-based violence. These issues are often shrouded in silence and stigma, making it difficult for young people to get accurate information and support. The Big Pink Youth Dialogue aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for young people to discuss these important issues openly and honestly. By bringing together young people from different backgrounds and experiences, the dialogue aims to foster a greater understanding of the challenges facing women's health and to identify potential solutions.

A key objective of the “Big Pink Youth Dialogue” is to empower young people to become advocates for women's health. By equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to advocate for change, the dialogue aims to create a new generation of leaders who will work to improve women's health and well-being across Asia Pacific. This project aims to raise awareness of these issues and to empower young people to take action to improve women's health. “This is an event organised and led by young people for young people. So, register now to join us and be part of something BIG.” says organising Co-Chair Joe Martinovic, Charter President of Northern Gold Coast Rotaract and President of Coomera Vally Rotary Club in District 9640 Australia.
