Alumni should be a key part of club life for all clubs.

As we enjoy Rotary Foundation month, it reminds us that alumni are all those who are sponsored or engaged by our Rotary clubs and districts; this includes Group Study Exchange members, Vocational Training Teams, Ambassadors, Scholarship recipients, and our Peace Fellows.

So often, we sponsor those who participate in our programs, hear from them at a District Conference, or our club, and then move on with our service.

Unfortunately, this significantly underplays the impact we can have on this person’s life.

Participation in a Rotary Foundation initiative is merely the start of the impact Rotary can have on this person’s life.

Through professional networks, friendship, and the ability to apply their learning to a practical environment, Rotary has great opportunities to offer.
