This month we welcomed the Rotaract Club of Christchurch, D9999, New Zealand. Congratulations to President Bronte Barber (who also comes from a Rotary family) and all the members on being officially recognised. We look forward to learning more of the club’s achievements.

11 of our districts are showing positive growth this month. However, we are down 127 Rotarians from 1 July. We are also down where we were at this time last year by 1426. Traditionally we start to see losses in May and June. We need to be tracking ahead in March/April in order to secure a positive/higher starting figure for the coming year than start of the year. April/October is usually our highest points of membership for the year. We also have a net loss of 9 Rotary clubs so far this year.

D9685 has taken top place on the membership leader board for this month with +32 since 1 July 2022.

D9620 and D9660 move into equal second place with +29 each.

D9920 and D9790 are next on the ladder with +20 each.

Highlights from our Zone include:

  • Highest % net growth: D9685 (1.98%)
  • Highest % of female members: D9640 (38.22%)
  • Highest % of members under 40: D9640 (9.27%)
  • Highest % of clubs with membership goals: D9910 (97.37%)
  • Highest no. of membership leads admitted to Rotary: D9620 (5)
