When Rotary International embarked on its ambitious quest to eradicate polio, there were 350,000 cases of paralytic polio – this year to date there are seven, and we are well on the way to eradicating the disease. When we do, it will arguably be Rotary’s greatest gift to the world.

The man who has spearheaded Rotary’s polio eradication efforts since 2014 is Past Rotary International Director Michael McGovern.

Mike will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands Virtual Conference, to be held on 28 & 29 October 2023. Mike will share all the latest news and developments, as well as some of the lessons learned, from Rotary’s polio eradication campaign.

Mike is an engaging speaker on a topic which is at the very heart of Rotary. This is a presentation definitely not to be missed.
