A big welcome to the Rotary family with new club; Rotary Club of District 9650 Young Leaders, NSW, Australia officially receiving their charter on 16 July 2021.

This club was formed solely by RYLA alumni after participating in District 9650’s RYLA program for 2021 and are looking forward to their Charter Night celebration dinner on 22 January 2022.

Co-President’s Caitlin Davey and Charlotte Moore said that one of the first projects will be focussing on supporting more young people to attend the District’s life-changing RYLA program in 2022. “After experiencing RYLA firsthand, we know the difference the week-long leadership development program can make and we want as many people as possible to have the experience”. These last couple of years have been super difficult for lots of young people. Helping others attend so they too have an opportunity to refocus, build communication skills and unlock their potential to turn motivation into action is a great focus area for the new Club.

“We’d like to take the opportunity to thank DG David Mayne, District Secretary/PDG Rob Anderson and DGE Neville Parsons for all their guidance and endless support in the establishment of our club in true Rotary fashion.”

“We want this Club to be fun, while helping the community, locally and as part of Rotary’s international work”, Caitlin and Charlotte said.
