Planning for an inclusive future: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Webinar

Over the last year, RI has facilitated a series of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion webinars, which we hope has given you tools to start thinking about implementing DEI within your clubs and district.

In the last of the webinar series we learn how we can put our commitment to DEI into action from members of the DEI Taskforce including RI Vice President and Taskforce Head Valarie Wafer.

This can include: making sure that our clubs are welcoming toprospective members and our communities; committing to the journey by asking members about their experiences and putting feedback into action; and taking small steps by leaning on DEI champions or establishing DEI committees.

Make sure to listen to RI President Elect Jennifer Jones’ message at 44 mins:

“Everyone who engages with Rotary, no matter who they are, where they are in the world or how long they’ve connected with us, should feel valued, respected and welcomed. That’s a key part of inclusion. Everyone should feel they can have honest conversations about the experience they are looking for and find opportunities that meet their expectations.”
