If you’re looking for a simple way to support Rotary’s End Polio campaign, why not join me and sign up for this year’s ‘Walk with Us to End Polio’.
Article by RI Director Jessie Harman
You can walk as an individual or part of a team, raise much needed funds and improve your overall fitness.
The event, organised through District 9800 in Victoria, runs through the month of October. Open to everyone everywhere, walkers seek sponsorship and log their walking distances on the user-friendly ‘Rotary Walk with us’ virtual platform. If you want, you can also post photos, blog and, for the more competitive walkers, compete for positions on the ‘Rotary Walk with Us’ league tables.
The walkathon has been a huge success during COVID, raising more than $240,000 over the past two years. Add in the Gates Foundation match and that’s an impressive number of children who will never get polio.
With October only six weeks away, now is the time to decide to participate, rally your supporters and sign up when the website goes live later this month - https://www.rotarywalkwithus.org
Every step you take will take us one step closer to eradicating polio. Join me to make this year’s event the most successful ever. Let’s get this done.
