Together, We Learn – Small Bites of Public Image

Article by PDG Sarita McLean, Rotary Public Image Coordinator

September being dedicated to Basic Education and Literacy lends itself to an article on taking the opportunity to reflect on our personal learning, and particularly in the public image space. Education fuels innovation and progress in those who we inspire with our work as People of Action.

There are a number of courses available in the Learning Centre in My Rotary. These courses are interactive and some can be completed in less than 15 minutes making them ideal for time-poor Rotarians. You will, however, have to log in to www.rotary.org first. If you do not know how to do this, talk with your club secretary. Training topics include:

• Building Rotary’s Public Image

• Our Logo: Representing Rotary

• The Rotary Brand

• Public Relations and your Club

• And the new Promoting your Club as People of Action

You can also learn about the basics of public image through your district’s Club Leadership Seminar or attending the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI). RLI is the Rotarian development forum where you discover the world of Rotary opportunities. This year the zone Public Image Team will be offering a number of seminars open to anyone with an interest in public image, with the first one scheduled for Sunday 26th September 2021 12 noon – 1pm AEST, click here to learn more.

Don’t forget that you can always reach out to your club or district public image chairs or any of the Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinators with any public image related inquiries. Click here for their contact details or you can find the Zone Public Image Team on www.rotaryzone8.org website.
