This activity for the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor is a win win because the club gets paid to do this community activity and then the funds raised go back into a local community project in Victor Harbor.

On Saturday 5th November there was a huge crowd that attended the One Electric Day event at Kent Reserve, Victor Harbor and it was a sell-out crowd. There were great artists performing such as the famous Suzie Q; Noiseworks; the Angels; Baby Animals; Screaming Jets and Chocolate starfish. This event started at 12.30pm and went through until 9.30pm.

Well, when there is a large crowd there is always something to be done behind the scenes and for this event, we had Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor on the beat ensuring cans and bins were emptied during the course of the day. There was great teamwork going on and they were having lots of fun along the way. This activity for the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor is a win win because the club gets paid to do this community activity and then the funds raised go back into a local community project in Victor Harbor. In this instance they raised nearly $5,000 for their labour and the returns on the cans.

And the next bonus is those funds will go to assist Southern Fleurieu riding for the disabled. Yes, horse riding for the Disabled in the local community of Southern Fleurieu. What a wonderful outcome.
