LINKEDIN – AN IMPORTANT TOOL FOR ROTARY OUTREACH
LinkedIn allows us to show how Rotarians connect, supporting Vocational Service and showing in our posts and profiles that we are people of action.

LinkedIn is a business and employment social networking service that operates via website and mobile apps.
In terms of global usage, the majority of LinkedIn users – or 38 percent, to be exact – are between 25 and 34 years old.
For this reason alone, LinkedIn allows us to show how Rotarians connect, supporting Vocational Service and showing in our posts and profiles that we are people of action.
LinkedIn was founded on December 28, 2002, and launched on May 5, 2003. It is mainly used for professional networking, allowing colleagues to confirm your skills and knowledge and job seekers to post their CVs.
There are over 660 millionsubscribers to LinkedIn globally, with 12.7 million members in Australia and 2,150,000 in New Zealand.
LinkedIn allows users (workers and employers) to create profiles and connections to each other in an online social network which builds trust because it represents real-world professional relationships. Users can invite anyone (whether a site user or not) to become a connection.

If you’re on LinkedIn, follow the Rotary International page and your district and club pages on LinkedIn if they exist. Give feedback to your fellow Rotarians by endorsing their professional skills and ensure that you mention your Rotary service in your own profile. Add value to Rotary posts which pop up in your newsfeed by reacting or commenting. Build your audience slowly but surely and help tell the world about who Rotarians are and what we stand for.
