Ko wai ra!

Ko Ngongotahā!

Ko Ngongotahā!

Our first term has been a fun, fast and furious one for the staff and students of Ngongotahā House.

Matua Ariki stood with power and poise atop the Te Matatini stage, representing his iwi matua Te Whānau-A-Apanui during Te Matatini o Te Kāhui Maunga - not before leading Ngongotahā house to a close second place finish in this year's tabloids events.

Inter house competitions have seen our tama raukura maintain our high competitive standards from last year. Ngongotahā House Captain Bronson van der Heyden led our house well to win senior football and support our juniors in coming second in their respective competition on goal differential - with one win and two draws.

Harrison Beazley, Kevin Bang, Tawa Thomas and Taylor Beazley steered our RBHS Super 8 Schools Golf team to victory in their respective competition for the first time since 2019, but the RBHS Golf Academy’s fourteenth (14th) Super 8 Schools Golf title in twenty six (26) years.

Harlym McCabe and Whetumatarau Pewhairangi recently led their respective teams to tournament victory in the BOP District Rugby League 9’s secondary schools competition held in Tokoroa. Kayden Jennings-Kōkiri being named finals MVP for the U18 grade.

Our attendance at school has been consistent, but as always it can be better. We’re currently sitting second with 82.62% and are close to reaching our target of 90%. Kia kaha Ngongotahā mā!
