Rotorua Boys' High School Confirmed NCEA Results 2024

Awhimate Nikora —

It is with great pride that we share our confirmed NCEA results for Rotorua Boys’ High School. Once again, our ākonga have achieved outstanding results that reflect their dedication and hard work; supported by our exceptional teaching staff. Across NCEA Levels 2 and 3, our students have performed at a very high standard, with many achieving and reaching their academic goals.

While we celebrate these successes, we also acknowledge that our Level 1 results were not at the level we had aimed for. This trend has been seen nationally, and we believe several factors contributed to this, including the ongoing impact of curriculum changes and the challenges some students faced in transitioning into the new NCEA Level 1 standards. We are actively reviewing our programmes and support systems to better prepare our ākonga and ensure they are set up for success in their first year of NCEA.

Looking ahead, we have set ambitious achievement targets for 2025. One of our key focus areas will be to further increase our University Entrance (UE) attainment rates. We are determined to provide more pathways, targeted academic mentoring, and tailored support for those students aspiring to move toward tertiary study.

We remain committed to fostering a culture of excellence, resilience, and success. We are holding our Celebrating Success evening on Tuesday 6th May from 5:30pm in the War Memorial Hall.
