Physical Education Department Year in Review
2025 has been another energetic and rewarding year for the Physical Education Department at Rotorua Boys’ High School. Our students have embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, teamwork, and school spirit.
As Term 4 draws to a close, excitement is building for the upcoming Year 10 Camp. To prepare, PE classes have been learning vital outdoor skills including mountain biking, bivy building, and camp cooking. Students have developed confidence on the trails, teamwork in shelter construction, and creativity in meal preparation—skills they’ll soon put to the test in the wild.
Our Year 9 students have also enjoyed a fantastic end to the year, taking part in the Pool Tabloids and the Capture the Flag Tournament. These events encouraged participation, strategy, and leadership, with plenty of healthy competition and laughter along the way.
The PE staff are proud of the effort and attitude shown by all students this year. From classroom lessons to outdoor challenges, every boy has had opportunities to grow, learn, and lead. We look forward to another year of movement, adventure, and success in 2026.
The department would like to wish all students, whanau and staff a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing all new and returning students in 2026.
